The Kura Hakuba restoration
The restoration

A Century-old Kura Beautifully restored.

For generations, this kura stood quietly in Hakuba. Rather than replace it, we chose to preserve its original timber frame, traditional character and handcrafted details.

The restoration includes walls finished using rare clay sourced from Japan’s Noto Peninsula, alongside carefully integrated modern comforts.
